In many cases smaller labs have to share a ULT freezer which leaves the access to the samples open for more people. The small sized upright freezer can be a great and affortable alternative for applications where the labs want its private freezer for their use only.

Small upright freezers are also suitable in applications where it can be difficult to access the facility. It can be in a basement, on the top floor, on a mobile lab, on a ship or a place where it has to be carried up a stairway etc. In many cases it would be less costly to install more smaller freezers compared to a freezer with a larger capacity.
